The Gardens.

Midcreek house has three garden levels.  At the top is the sunny courtyard, once guarded by Jess and her favourite toy:

The warmth and shelter are perfect for many plants, particularly Clematis - even when grown in a small trough.

Sadly, Jess has passed on but her duties are now looked after by her successor, Poppy, here proudly wearing her best winter coat...

... but not so happy when it's been removed from her for the summer.

The middle garden is level and sheltered, with afternoon sun and nice views;
good for barbeques:

The bottom garden has a narrow stepped path winding down through trees and sloping grassy banks.
A nice place to snooze, in the shade of the Torbay palms...

... or in the quiet of the summerhouse.
